Feedback from Nick

Group No.5 mentions exploring a New Zealand scent. I love this idea and in a previous role have looked in to it with a commercial perfumery that has an office in Australia. If they wanted to take this further then I would strongly support it as this is the type of thinking that throws normal conventions out the window and is beginning to push boundaries beyond what is normally expected. There are also these people http://www.scentaustralia.com.au/
The idea opens up a whole new canvas that has not been explored in this industry, and it links in very strongly with Baba’s work around a memorable brand. It can also be great way to connect with people subconsciously when people are so visually saturated.
A couple of years ago my thinking was in relation to a swing tag but that is just the beginning. The big brands don’t like to co-brand with a supplier (swing tag real estate comes at such a premium) but scent circumnavigates this into a space that is untouched. LV have just released a leather inspired perfume, but this is almost reversing the thought, and it is incredibly cost effective.
